COVID-19:
Lessons Learned, A Global Perspective - Comments
Dr. Kevin Kavanagh from Health Watch USAsm
discusses concerns of the Delta Variant and its rising incidence in the
United States.
The United States lacks a robust genomic sequence tracking system which
inhibits effective tracking of this variant. At the same time we are
relaxing public health strategies. This variant has resistance to
immunity, and it takes two full doses of the vaccine to be immune.
Unfortunately, about 50% of the United States is vaccine hesitant. In
addition, those who have vaccine hesitancy tend to gather at social
events which promotes spread of the virus.. Health Watch USA & Mass. Nursing Assoc. COVID-19
